You and I both know that pensions and union contracts are the biggest drain on GM. Bankruptcy is where a judge dissolves those contracts and lets the company start anew as a sleeker entity. It hoses everyone equally, and no one likes it, but its how business used to work in this country. Obama has chosen to protect the unions and fire the CEO, who is the new focus of an Obama-led witch hunt.
Notice the UAW has to make no new concessions in this recent development. This administration will do anything to protect the UAW, and will stray from bankruptcy as long as possible. Its prolonging a phenomenally expensive inevitability to pay off a Democrat election apparatus.
