Its so hard being right all along
Where our gallant guvamint fails us, a lowly graduate student from Illinois prevails:
The administration’s auto team announced the departure of Mr. Wagoner on Sunday. In a summary of its findings, the task force added that it doesn’t believe Chrysler is viable as a stand-alone company and suggested that the best chance for success for both GM and Chrysler “may well require utilizing the bankruptcy code in a quick and surgical way.”
Whaaa? You mean we’re going my way, but only after spending over a trillion intrest-adjusted dollars? Godspeed, you valiant custodians of our great economy.
What I mean to say is, you are all stupid douches.

Actually, the administration is supporting FIAT’s buyout of Chrysler, and will eventually force GM into bankruptcy. Notice that the task force doesn’t mention GM’s viability, only Chrysler’s.
Unless “your way” was selling Chrysler to the Italian’s (which isn’t too hard to handle anyway, since they’re already British-owned) I’m not sure what you’re gloating about here.
Wagoner is the one who made the choice to not go the bankruptcy route, and that might, by the way, be one reason he was removed from his position.

The administration is on record saying bankruptcy is now being strongly considered for GM. I am gloating about that being the right position all along. A foreign buyer for Chrysler is another matter, but using bankruptcy is still mentioned prominently for both.
My way is bankruptcy without dropping a trillion dollars into a sinkhole. Sadly, all we can do the the second half of that, thanks to a panicking Bush and Obama tagteam.
