Presidential Leadership 101

July 22, 2009 at 9:18 am (Uncategorized)

Uh, Barack, the classroom is down the hall.

So, Dems are frustrated with the One for provoking this huge fight on Health Care, but not providing any details as to how he wants it run/written. Basically, he’s giving sermons and calling in favors for something he wants really badly, but doesn’t want any part in creating.

This smacks of two potential strategies, both plausible:

I. Obama is voting present on this bill’s details. He wants all the credit for getting it passed, but wants to pass the inevitable responsibility to the unwitting Dems dumb enough to write it that way. In this fashion, he can look down his nose at Congress for failing to do His great work the right way. Dems invented this blame game, and they will get pissed if this is true.

II. Obama really doesn’t understand how to write a bill, any of the legal details required, or have any opinion on how the bill be written. It is enough for him to simply get the thing passed so he can appear on American Idol and another Time cover. Remember when we said he had no experience running even a lemonade stand? Yeah, he’s like the anti-executive, and the Dems are now wondering what the hell is going on.

Hell, the White House can’t even put out their budget, the plan for spending cuts, or any of their promised reports on time. The remedial President is becoming a bit of an embarrassment, I dare say.

You can’t expect everything from Barack…

July 21, 2009 at 4:18 pm (Uncategorized)

…maybe not even the essentials. (Audio)

This has gotten a bunch of play today, and rightly so. Stemming from an IBD article and a few legal opinions, there is a real danger that private coverage -as written- may not be permitted under the health care bill entering the House (actually, it just got scuttled in a committee, but I digress).

Obama has admitted, when asked during a conference call, that he isn’t aware of that part of the Bill. This is a stupid admission on any level, and another instance in which the teleprompter wasn’t able to keep Dear Leader on topic and away from his own foot-in-mouth Bidenisms.

Let’s now acknowledge that Barack wants this passed with all haste and little debate in both houses of Congress so he can rubber stamp it. Let’s also acknowledge that it will change the relationship between the US Government and its people probably forever, and alter the social policy trajectory of this country forevermore. Obama’s ignorance of his own bill (well, he outsourced it to Congressional Dems, as usual) now glares more brightly than ever. At least read the important ones, dude.

This is part and parcel of Obama’s scary-ass governance style.

1) Raise a huge stink, yell bloody murder, scare the crap out of the voters to get a mob going;
2) Let Congress write the whole damn thing, stoke the fires of fear;
3) Quash all debate “in a bipartisan fashion,” blame Bush for something;
4) Pass bill to accolades, hedge on promises;
5) Remind us that the promises didn’t really count, and that “everyone” knew it would be different;
6) Completely ignore lack of results, shout down detractors Jon Kyl-style.

Now we simply know that during steps 1-4, he may not even know what he’s pushing for. This is further aided by the fact that he “couldn’t find any wasteful spending” in the stimulus bill. Hell, Mr. President, if you never read the thing, that’s going to be absolutely true.

This isn’t Hyde Park, where you just get people race-baited into a frenzy, waste millions in aid, and no one has any questions for you. Its the entire country, where you are held accountable (at long last). Everyone’s health is at stake here and you showed up to a meeting about a bill without command of WHAT IS IN THE FUCKING BILL AT HAND.

Dude did show up at G-8 without any ability to talk about the meeting he was about to go into, though, so maybe we should be ready for this kind of thing.

Big Mayo piles on Obama

July 21, 2009 at 10:57 am (Uncategorized)

Actually, just the Mayo Clinic.

Quoted, in full:

Although there are some positive provisions in the current House Tri-Committee bill – including insurance for all and payment reform demonstration projects – the proposed legislation misses the opportunity to help create higher-quality, more affordable health care for patients. In fact, it will do the opposite.

In general, the proposals under discussion are not patient focused or results oriented. Lawmakers have failed to use a fundamental lever – a change in Medicare payment policy – to help drive necessary improvements in American health care. Unless legislators create payment systems that pay for good patient results at reasonable costs, the promise of transformation in American health care will wither. The real losers will be the citizens of the United States.

This is further evidence that Health Care Reform, such as the Left wants it, is more about feeling fuzzy that poor people have insurance than it is about improving health care in this nation. Additionally, this on the heels of the CBO assertions that Obama’s plan will be much more expensive than Big O says, and crumbling popular support (my previous post) for the bill/reform points down the path to ruin for Obamacare.

If you think the GOP was going to stand athwart the White House before support eroded for this hellish legislation, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Poll numbers crumbling (Politico)

July 21, 2009 at 9:34 am (Uncategorized)

As the stimulus lingers on without making a substantial impact, jobs vanish into thin air at a catastrophic rate, and our government tries to cram a huge tax down our collective throats, it seems the public isn’t reacting very well.

Let’s take a look at the tape:

Asked what effect a government-managed health care coverage option would have on access to health services, 40 percent said it would make the situation worse, 38 percent said it would make it better and 22 percent said it would remain the same.

There’s a turnabout from what I’ve been breathlessly told so many times by friends of socialized medicine. If this poll is to be taken at face value, that’s a horrible sign for Obama and Co. Looks like the beginning of a pretty sound rejection of a central tenet of the One’s agenda.

Asked if their taxes would increase or decrease under Obama’s watch, 63 percent said their taxes will be higher, and only 9 percent said their tax burden will decrease. In March, 54 percent thought their taxes would be higher, compared with 17 percent who believed their taxes would go down.

Isn’t this interesting? The American public strongly believes that Obama will directly violate his campaign promise to not raise taxes on 95% of the nation. This is not a healthy beginning of a trusting relationship. (Of course, the number should be 100%, since cap-and-trade is simply an energy tax in a pork dress.)

Just as Obama intensifies his efforts to fulfill a campaign promise and reach an agreement with Congress on health care reform, the number of Americans who say they trust the president has fallen from 66 percent to 54 percent. At the same time, the percentage of those who say they do not trust the president has jumped from 31 to 42.

Oh, here it is. I see it so clearly now. As your fathers no doubt told you when you were little, trust is the cornerstone of every relationship in the world. As the bottom falls out ‘neath our Poet-King President, lets hope his winning smile and hollow promises can cushion the impact.

Taxes on rich could go over 50% in some states.

July 16, 2009 at 9:08 am (Uncategorized)

This is based on passage of Obama’s class-warfare tax surcharge nonsense passing.

The collective government, in another palsied grab for power and influence, has yet again decided it has more claim on the monies of the rich than they themselves do. While our representatives on the Hill and at state capitals fly jets around and take months long vacations to rest their laurels and be in parades, hundreds of thousands of Americans veritably kill themselves to make enough money to live comfortably in the future. Now, they will have to ship over half to their betters in D.C.

This is the first time in decades that this horror has visited our nation, and is in direct violation of an Obama campaign promise:

The $544 billion tax hike would violate one of President Obama’s ironclad campaign promises: No family will pay higher tax rates than they would have paid in the 1990s.

But what does ass-clown Robert Gibbs think?

Asked if Obama supports the surtax on wealthiest Americans even though it would break a campaign pledge, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said only, “It’s a process that we’re watching.”

Wonderful. Thank God they have their eyes on it.

Here’s one for the “the public option isn’t really an option” file:

The legislation is especially onerous for business owners, in part because it penalizes employers with a payroll bigger than $400,000 some 8 percent of wages if they don’t offer health care.

There are jobs out there that should not give out health care. McDonalds is a great example. Of course, the payrolls of those 16-year-olds with a summer job will be counted against the lowly franchise owner, evil enough to withhold care from his employees. The result will, of course, be that those jobs disappear. Growth directly below the $400K payline will stagnate to prevent this albatross, and everyone will suffer. The transition of health care from privelage (aka benefit, to use the pre-Obama word) to right is going to be phenomenally expensive and destructive.

Liberals trade in the currency of best intentions. Their high-and-mighty pretentiousness must be sated by allocating other people’s effort and dollars “for the greater good”, and so we fight them as the only American’s capable of understanding the harm the New Left crowd can inflict. I don’t believe they plan on killing the country that nurtured their foolishness, but they will not let an economy get in the way, as proven by their attempted cap and trade ambush during a huge recession. Its merely happenstance that their myopic crusade du jour will burn down the nation that so many great men have built with…

…minority entitlements, political kickbacks, and buying votes from envious class warriors? That doesn’t sound right.

…hard work, sacrifice, accountability, and self-sufficiency? There it is.

Obama is about to find out how hard a brick wall feels when he runs up against the force of the American people and its interests. He already had to park Cap and Trade in the Senate to let the fires die down. Clock’s ticking until 2010, buddy. The world’s first lame duck year 2 President may be at hand.

Douchelord Chavez is scared for Obama.

July 15, 2009 at 3:29 pm (Uncategorized)

Stay out of our country’s affairs, you bastard. Aren’t you busy enough quashing the rights of your own people? When the bombs come for you, I hope you cry like a little girl and everyone knows how weak this dictator/terrorist is.

Speech suggesting the possibility of the death of a foreign head of state is beyond the pale, and it pisses me off. I don’t like Barry one bit, but I’ll still fist-fight any useless foreigner with the audacity to suggest our leader may get shot.

Frankly, Obama is beyond reproach when compared to the likes of banana republic dictators like Chavez. This man makes my blood boil more than I can say. Talk about the seed of evil for an entire sector of the globe.

Just one excerpt:

You can send the Fourth and the Sixth Fleet, or the world’s largest bombers, but changes will not end.

I’ll take that bet, you weak-ass. You’d be a shitstain in Obama’s boxers in less than a day.

Ruh roh, WaPo calling out Dems.

At long last, the media is coming around to some realities Obama is hiding behind the curtain.

Read it. Short, concise, and relatively objective.

Obama does ASG

July 14, 2009 at 7:30 pm (Uncategorized)

In great news, the NL finally took the fucking lead away from the AL, 3-2, bottom 2nd. Screw the AL.

Anywho,

Obama finds his way onto television yet again at a baseball game decked out in a nasty, atrocious White Sox jersey. Seriously, every Sox fan is a piece of slimy, stinking crap. All felons, as well.

Obama must have set some kind of record for being on tv at this point, right? Dude likes to be seen, that’s for sure.

Not exactly a quiet retreat.

July 14, 2009 at 10:59 am (Uncategorized)

Mrs. Palin is not quite done being heard yet.

In an important first step toward rehabilitating her image, Sarah has won a spot on the editorial page of the WaPo (congrats to WaPo for agreeing). Therein she writes a very nice piece on cap and trade, savaging it up and down. However, you can read the thing and draw your own conclusions.

I would say this is certainly evidence that Palin isn’t leaving the scene, if less than proof. I expect numerous Sunday talker interviews and a speaking tour to take place, a la Reagan before his first run. She must create her own image with personal appearances instead of settling for the caricature currently on display, and she’s at least making preparations for the process.

I’m not sold on Palin, but I do love her ability to play outside the “rules” of running for office. I’m looking forward to hearing from her on more important issues. Should she resurrect her platform and image, she would be a tremendous force in 2012.

Stimulus is Broken! Obama is a sinister joke.

July 2, 2009 at 10:33 am (Uncategorized)

So, now that PressSec Robert Gibbs has given us the go-ahead to start blaming/lauding the President on the economy, lets see where we are.

Oh shit.

9.5%? Good Lord, Barack. Where in the hell is your stimulus at? I thought it was the only bill that could save America? I thought that was why the incoming spectre of inflation was going to be worth the squeeze?

But alas, now we’re even talking about the dreaded “jobless recovery”! OMG!!!! Le me te u somping, mang. We saw this shit the coming the whole time. Reckless federal spending and increased central power in our nation’s President is a piss poor method of fixing our nation’s problems. As a matter of fact, however, it was never the goal to begin with.

In light of Honduras and Iran, the responses of the POTUS, and his constant power-grabbing, I believe Obama is trying to change this nation into something we have never been. He continually subjugates our freedoms, even as he crows that he’s going to fix everything while giving sermons overseas apologizing for the history of this nation, which he happens to be ashamed of. Ah yes, the child of the Far Left is born into power on hollow promises, and he despises the nation he runs.

This man is out to destroy America and remake it in his nanny-state totalitarian image. This is a dark chapter in America. However, conservatives will ride to the rescue in 2010. Obama could be a lame duck President in two years. Deliver us from evil.
